Log Kya Kahenge – break the cycle

Seems as though fear is the most common feeling that tends to holds us back from moving forward.

One moment, you’re having a creative, driven, and/or spontaneous thought. The next, you write it all off because you’re fearful of how you’ll be perceived/judged.

It could be as simple as posting a photo/video of yourself, seeking a new interest, or chasing a unique dream. The thought of actually acting on it becomes overwhelming (maybe because you’re overthinking it?) So, you just do nothing and let fear win. Sound familiar?

You probably wouldn’t worry about what people think of you if you could know how seldom they do!

– Olin Miller

In this thought process, you might be overthinking so many conclusions, such as:

  • Log Kya Kahenge? (English translation – What Will People Think?)
  • What if I fail?
  • What if I disappoint?
  • What if I am wrong?
  • What if I look stupid doing this?
  • What if I am not good enough?
  •  And more negative thoughts

We’ve all been there and have reacted poorly to something that hasn’t even happened yet. Silly, right? Nevertheless, we all know we have to break this negative cycle at some point but we keep putting it off.

This is because even the slightest thought of breaking this vicious cycle can cause anxiety OR even more fear! Le sigh.

Break The Cycle

Sooner or later you’ll have to decide to either do it OR not do it.

I mean, ask yourself:

  • What’s the worst that can happen?
  • If the worst does actually happen, would it still be worth it?

I say DO IT! #noregrets

Do it with a positive attitude and remain positive throughout the process. Make sure you give yourself compliments along the way – this will definitely help you and make overcoming your fears easier each time!

I am very fearful (no longer afraid to admit it either) and because of this fear – I’ve missed several opportunities to do amazing things that I really wanted to do.

So, starting today – I am going to be applying my own advice! I am going to be putting myself out there and doing more of the things I am fearful of doing …with positivity and open arms of course! 🙂
